Well, I'm back :allteeth:

All my life I was obsessed with ocean predators. #1 on my list...of course Sharks, especially the great white.
So when I turned 30, my family gave me the best present ever! 8 Days South Africa and cage-diving with the Great White.
Just me and my camera, doing what I love. It was freaking awesome
:bouncingsmileys:

I'll show some of the animals I found on my way from Simon's Town to Gansbaai and post new pictures from time to time.

Africa is just a "Wildlife photographer's dream". :586:

Nice set, love the Penguin portrait, what camera/lens did you use for your set?

Those are great!

Excellent set. Can't wait to see more.

Real nice set!

Very, very cool work. I'm some what of a shark nut myself, so I'm looking forward to see the cage shots.

Guadeloupe Island on you bucket list?

Thanks again!

Guadeloupe Island on you bucket list?

On my bucket list was seeing great whites up close, so I can say "Checked" to this.
Guadeloupe sure would be a dream...but I have to admit, I'm glad it's very expensive and highly restricted to get there because the Sharks need places to "rest". To me, Guadeloupe should be for research only. We still don't even know about breeding behaviour and if the Sharks are there to give birth.
We further don't know about the influence "mass tourism" and chumming has on the animals behavior so we shouldn't follow the Sharks wherever they go just to make money out of them.
(And I do realize that posting this after I made a "Shark Tour" may sounds hypocritical)

Well, back to "Photography" ;-)

I'm with ya 100%; By chance I have seen two while out sailing in the last 9 yrs both juvenile ( 10-12 ft. ) and I'm good with that. Late summer, early fall juvie's are pretty active here and sighting are almost weekly, Heck, just this week a 16-18 footer was filmed feeding on the carcass of a 55' Hump off Dana Point

Anyhow, like you said, back to photography................very cool stuff you posted.

My Hotel was located in Simon's Town, which is very close to Cape Point. Been there almost every day, enjoyed the beautiful nature up there.
