Space Shuttle Atlantis Launch (11-16-09)

First attempt to photograph the Space Shuttle from up close today. Photo's taken standing to the side of the VAB bldg on site. What a rush to be so close. Had a little to learn with the exposure due to the intense flames. Got 4 or 5 more launches to get it down packed!

I heard it was tough to get close though?

How far were you away and what mm lens did you use? And how much are these cropped?
