i have caused sparks like that, but its usually accompanied by a shrill scream..and a few curse words....

well, it was actually my friends hand and it wasnt bbq'd at all. most of the sparks are thrown away from the hand so not many hit, and we are always working on stuff so i guess we are used to it.
