Speed lights

I have recently bought a Nikon D 70 and now need a flash. I am stuck between the SB 600 and 800. There is obviously a big price difference but if it is worth the cost I am willing. My question is, is it worth the cost? I noticed the big advantage is the fact I will be able to use it on all my Nikon cameras. I was just wondering if anyone had any input. Thank you

I guess it depends on what you are using it for.

If this is for basic flash photography, then the 600 would be quite sufficent. If you are doing alot of of camera flash, using it on older bodies, etc. Then 800 it is.

I don't use a ton of flash, but I would think the 600 would serve the purpose.
