Yay, more Spitfires!! My grandad was involved with building them, especially the propellors, so they're a bit of personal history to me. There's some model ones near where I live, so I'll be out later in the week to try and get them!

my grandad used to repair Hawker Hurricanes in Reading back in the 1940s

Get yourself to Duxford in september for the Spitfire anniversary airshow they say they are gonna get at least 20 spitfires there:mrgreen:

Love those shots! I don't think I've ever seen a blue spitfire before. Absolutely beautiful.

-Brett :)

The light blue ones are Photo Reconnaissance planes hence the sky like colour.

The dark blue one with U2 on the side was painted up for the "Merlins over Malta" show in Malta, they flew a spitfire and a hurricane from Duxford to malta for the show which I think was the first time a spitfire had been to Malta since WWII

Great shots... Love seeing those WW2 birds..
