Spoiled teenager or What's wrong with this picture?

    The larger bird is a fledgling cowbird being fed by a mature sparrow.

    Apparently the cowbird lays an egg in a song bird nest and the "adoptive" parents raise it.

    No teleconverter, 200mm with a crop factor of 2 = EFL of 400mm and a small crop :)

    That's amazing, and I see what they call it a "cowbird". I've heard of Blue Jays doing laying their eggs in other nests, but I thought they were the only ones. Very nice shot.

    A member on another forum reported seeing the same behavior with a cowbird and a cardinal :)

    Not only is that a nice shot but you really nailed the timing in that one. It kind of reminds me of a shot I tuck at a butterfly house in Westford, MA. Really nice color saturation too i like it a lot.
