I like all of them but the first 2 are very grainy,maybe oversharpened due to a big recrop

Even at 930 px square they are still a tad too large, Dee. Many cannot view these in one go ... you won't get replies you hope for unless you go for a more viewable-by-all-size, I'm afraid.

What were your ISO settings when you were out there in the botanical gardens? The first two sport quite a bit of noise, though 2 does not look oversharpened to me. Only with the focus JUST RIGHT. It is my favourite here. But if those were mine, I'd run them through NeatImage (www.neatimage.com ) - the demo version is for free and is all I have ever used.

I love NeatImage as well, and that second pic is definately worth cleaning-up. It is a very neat shot with an interesting perspective.

I believe that my ISO was on the default 200.
I agree 2nd one was my best of the day, but I would be interested in knowing how to clean up or tidy. I am very much a novice in post shot editing in PS and would be happy for any tips or even feel free to mangle my image
