Tell me this little guy doesn't look like he's posing?! Heh heh...got about 3 feet from him today...couldn't believe he let me get that close!!! The first two aren't photoshopped except for resizing. The third I had to lighten up a bit.

There are five squirrels that are always coming to this spot, right outside the window of th office where I work. (which happens to be attached to my parents house..hee hee!) We have kinda set up that sideyard to be, like, a bird haven almost. There are several bird feeders and birdbaths, and the yard is completly lined with trees, so it's blocked off from everything. We get hundreds of birds, and those five squirrels and two bunnies that come around regularly. They seem to be getting pretty used to us walking out in thier area to fill the feeders or baths. So I'm sure the food is why it let me get so close! Everytime I made a move it didn't like, it ran away about 5 feet or so..then as soon as it realized I wasn't going after it, it came back cuz it wanted that food so bad!

that second pic reminds me of an eddie izzard quote, if you're a fan.

"uh... oh.... uh...? did i leave the gas on?" (has to be heard in context, but its damn funny) :)

Those are really good pictures. I can never manage to get even remotely close to a squirrely without them running away. :(

By the way, what equipment are you using to photograph that?
