Stained Glass effect (C&C)

I just want to know how you all feel about adding effects to your photos. Here is a picture of 3 of my daughters looking at some fish @ SeaWorld.

I think it would work much better if only the sky was in the mosaic. Maybe try manually selecting the ladies and inverting it and then applying the filter. The effect just makes the subjects look blurry.

Simply: I'm not a fan of these types of effects. They usually look pretty cheesy to me.

i'm with goontz on this.
the artistic type filters are corny, and i dont think they add any value to the picture.

I agree. it takes away from the photo instead of adding to it. I like to idea of the background being in stained glass, though maybe a little larger.
