Staircase

I just happend upon this while out for a bike ride. Do you think I have something here or is it really just a boring staircase. What could i do to improve? I havnt touched it in photoshop yet.

The lines and shadows are interesting, but it just feels like a little something extra is missing for me on this one. Punching it up a little in photoshop may help to make it pop a little more.

The partial window and door on the right hand side are distracting to me as well, they sort of take away from the geometric shapes that make the photo interesting. Not sure if there is much of a chance to crop this one, but it may be worth experimenting with.

You are on to something. The time of day produces some excellent shadows from the staircase. I would use a tripod and a torpedo level to get everything straight. I agree with Chase in that the partial door and window are distracting.
