lose the on-camera flash. use a tripod and take it at dark, or take it in the daytime. either one would look good, because that is definitely a good photo spot. try scooting to the right a bit and aiming left. It would eliminate the handrail from the picture and it would seem more natural.

hahah yeah the flash effect here is funny it looks like stairs to heaven or... hell coz there's completely dark on the top

i totally agree you've found a great spot and i would try some of the suggestions laid out to you. this would look awesome in an existing light shot; bracket your exposures, see what ya get and SHARE!!! :thumbup:

whoa look at it as if you are at the top of a staircase looking down. the trees are like coming out of the mountainside. its awesome.

I might try to get down on the ground so the stairs are closer to my camera. Also I might off-center the pic a bit. no flash of course.
