i've seen some recent posts showing star trails, so i dug waaaaaaaay back to 1981 and found this. not the best of quality (sorry...taken with a inexpensive Minolta). this was obviously pointed at the north star; exposure was 45 mins i think. taken at the appomattox historical battlegrounds, appomattox virginia.

Ha, I totally dig this one, Jon. I couldn't care less about the quality, it's just a great jolt to the eyes. It's all grainy and neatly bottom-framed - very cool image! :D

Make a blacklight poster out of it.

This is a neat picture.
Send me one of your posters once it is ready, will you?

And Joe (clarinet), there are photos taken BY me or OF me from 1981, too, and I was a year older THEN than you are now........

Yeah, right, JonMikal, it's just not right - we should all stay forever young, shouldn't we? (And actually, it's only the outside that is really changing... only the "shell").

It's all blurred, Jon, and much too dark. You should have used a faster shutter speed - and flash as well.

somehow i knew that request a few days ago was gonna be a mistake  .

if i remember correctly, the lens was a 50mm.

hey Joe, i was 24 when i took it :p
