I am compiling some beach shots per my fathers request
Should i put this one in, wasn't sure if you could tell if it was "beachy" haha.

i like it. the sky blue vs the sea blue- nice. Maybe just cut a bit off the top so that the fishing pole fills the picture? Where is the waves?

i like it some croping the 3rd rule is showen here fairly well IMO, overall nice pic, show of been zoomed in a bit but i like it

I agree crop down to the fishing rod and it will be brilliant

If you're only wondering about the "beach feeling" and if it is there or not, I say: it is there and the photo should be included in the series for your dad.

The others have suggested you crop it a bit ... that is up to you. All I want to say is that I really like your composition here, your DOF (must have been a very small aperture to get everything in focus, waste bin as well as far away background, good here), the inclusion of the fishing rod ...

... yes, well - "stay" is my answer.
