Stealing other peoples photos

    Im wondering if there is a way to figure out if a photo is taken from somewhere else or if it is genuinely the photographers. Can anyone help please?

    You can view the EXIF data, if it is still embedded, for some information.

    You can also use TinEye to search the web: About - TinEye

    You could contact the person claiming the image, asking for the copyright information. Then contact the Copyright office to verify ownership.

    Google image search is excellent also. It seems to catch a LOT more than Tineye does Google Images
    Just drag and drop the image into the search bar. You can drag it from another open web page to there too.

    I just tried it....it did work but, but the site the photo was taken from didnt come up

    Is this because you want to find out if someone stole your friend's photo, or because you want to get away with nicking someone elses?

    I have heard good things about googles reverse image search, but havnt tried it myself
