Great shots! I think you have inspired me to do some rust shots of my own. You really captured great texture. I really like #1 and the DOF is perfect.
On #2 I feel the the out of focus of head is pretty distracting. In the third the parts that are in focus are in 3-4 spots and the center is out of focus. I think that if you are going to use DOF like that, only one region should be in focus, in this one it seems like there are random spots of sharpness. Great job overall though.

The quality of rust doesn't really stand out much. Either that or you could use some sharpening.

These are wickedly good macros John. But I would like to see better focus on #2 and #3. #1 is amazing. Great stuff.
