#2 would be AWESOME if you took the photo crisp and then used a motion blur in photoshop so that the pic looks like you have it but the sign is in focus.

just a different artistic approach, but well done

Photoshop can't achieve the blur quality that image has.
Off camera flash could be used to light the sign, and catch it.
