Storkbill kingfisher

    Shot this bird just outside a nature reserve. Due to the huge bill the bird is named Storkbill kingfisher.

    Canon 300D with 75-300mm IS handheld
    Settings at 1/160, f11, ISO 400.

    Nice shot! i've seen this bird once flew into our classroom when i was a kid. it hit a moving fan & knock out. lucky its alive. after some nursing, it fly away... :)

    Thanks for commenting and the compliments. Looks like I made mistake in the ID. This is a White throated Kingfisher.
