    Took a stroll around a nearby Country Park this afternoon, and even though the weather wasn't too great I managed to get this photograph...

    I really like the simple but effective composition. Maybe a darker and slightly more contrasty sky would make an even better picture?

    Very nice composition.
    A hole in the clouds and the sun peeking through illuminating the tree and area in front would have made this one WONDERFUL ... alas, wonders are not always to be had, are they? ;)

    Thank you everyone! I got my jeans covered in mud taking this one!

    And LaFoto: You're right. I waited and waited for that glimpse of sunshine, gave it up as a lost cause and took the shot. Not ten minutes later, when I was too far away to make amends, lo and behold out came that sun. Damn weather sprites, always doing things to tease me!

    I think it's a beautiful shot as is.

    (Vaguely reminds me of the opening sequence in Six Feet Under)

    :hug:: Aww thank you!

    And I loved that opening sequence. You're right, it does look like that! I hadn't thought of that!
