Canon Canonet QL17 GIII Rangefinder / Fuji 800z film, converted to b/w
Well, the clouds look neat contrasted against the darkened sky, but my mind wants to see more surroundings in order to have some sense of context.
Agree -- this is a great background for some other subject. You just need to find that subject.
I think sky shots themselves are great and don't mind just seeing clouds. Sure, this would make an awesome backdrop, but I think it looks amazing with the contrast and all of that texture. Nice shot!
I appreciate the comments, but the clouds ARE the subject. I understand that's not for everyone and that's all right. I love some cloud shots. Nobuyoshi Araki, one of my favorite photographers, has some great shots of just beautiful skies with not a bit of ground in sight. (yes, he does shoot things other than naked women) I guess that's some of my inspiration with shots like this.
I also like cloud shots by themselves. I'm curious to see how the picture would look of some of the dark sky at the top were cropped off. It looks now like the picture is cut in half and cropping some at the top would help. Beautiful shot, though!
