Sun Through Trees

I went out today and took about 70 shots and this is the only one I'm happy with. It was taken with a Sony DSC-W70 point & click and hasn't been edited.

As I have said in a previous thread, I am completely new to this so any critisism is welcome. Don't hold back, I need to learn!

So you set the camera to black and white mode, too? This is no conversion?
Well done! I have tried to take photos like this for years and it took me ever so long to get mine right! And you only go there and take it! Wow. Congratulations!

Thank you! Yep, just set the camera to B & W, point & click.

It may be something to do with the strange light round here. This picture was taken at aroung 11.30 this morning. The sun is low & quite weak. Somedays it barely gets light & in summer it only gets truly dark for a couple of hours.

For some reason it reminds me of the Aredennes, Battle of the Buldge. Very WWII feel for me...
