    While I was stopped by the coyote escapade I noticed the finches were in the sunflowers... There were prolly close to 100 birds feeding as I snapped these.

    Gold finches are pretty birds.
    We don't have them in Germany.

    The sun was quite against you, yes, it shows. The first is best, though I myself would crop it some if it were mine. And the catchlight in his eye is missing, but other than that he's better exposed in the first than in any of the other two.

    BTW These were shot offhand with an EF 400 f/2.8 L (15lbs Camera + lens) from a UTV.
