start of a great day. what do you think of the crop, did i cut too much?

it's hard to tell if you cropped too much without seeing what you cropped.

Personally, I like it. it would have been nice if the trees were a little thicker maybe to give it a more dramatic feel, but you can't change that.

yes there is some more to the image. here is the rest of it. my back yard is a south slope, facing Kachemak Bay. latitude 59n, long 151w.

i like the color better in the 1st one but the composition of the 2nd one.

Wow, I'm not sure why you wanted to crop this. I think the composition is much nicer here. Very pretty image.
