My first post at TPF.
I am just beginning photographing..lots of things to learn...
You have a very nice capture. First thoughts are to move the horizon into the upper third or lower third of the photograph. Great capture though.
A small crop and another element, maybe a silouette, and you have a great shot, as is, very well done!
Heya seraph, welcome to ThePhotoForum.
I moved your thread to Landscape and Nature. I feel that sunsets and sunrises as well as seascapes fit into that section nicely, don't you.
These are some wonderful colours. Very vibrant. It must have been very impressive to witness this scene.
Compositionally, you placed both sun and horizon line very much into the centre of your frame which lens images an aspect of balance. Balance means lack of tension. Any IMbalance adds a feeling of tension to things, so a photo/image/painting/drawing etc. where the horizon is placed off centre usually catches some more attention. Something to think about in the future.
Thank you guys for your very nice opinions.
I realized that there are some problems with the composition, but I didn't know what's the problem. Now I know...
