Sunset Surf

Here is a tough shot. Backlit surfing shots. This is one that turned out ok. Not stellar by any means.

Just a applied a quick crop and some curves.

insane lighting. That's some awsome timing. I've never seen a sunset surf shot before, and i'm glad the first one I saw was a good one! Rgw wide crop gives it perspective, keep it. Don't add to the top and bottom, it would just be wasted space.

Thanks for the comments on this one. I have a few more in the sequence but this had the best water spray and color. I like how the sun can be seen through the wave.

Awesome color. I especially like #2 and #5 in that series (the surfers and the cruise ship)

I like the overall color tone in this shot, but I'd prefer a more even color in the sky like in a couple of the others in your link. This shot appeals to me more than the others because the dark blue water with that yellowish sky in the others is a bit jarring to me.

Great treatment of the scene though.

Thanks and Jim and Unimaxium - This is how the sky turned out on this one. I think the diagonal came from cropping the image.
