Photographers and painters don't like symmetry, but architects and designers do. Here's the severely symmetrical Boston Baptist Church, Lincolnshire, built in 1837, when English church architects were casting round for a new style.

very nice..i don't mind symmetry at all if it can by nicely captured like this one
 
I like the symmetry (though I have to admit, I like seeing it broken up with the shadows :) )

the shadows are very nice....

i just wonder, when you took the picture, if you were taking it with a tripod, i think to capture it more symetrically you could have moved one of the right legs slightly forward. it feels as if the camera wasn't facing the building head on, but at a slight angle.

very minor pet peeve about a good photo, though
 
I like it, it so symmetrical that its awesome! lol.
