Taking a poll for final lens purchase question for a Nikon D7000. I'm basically looking for this lens to be a walk around lens, good in low light, sharp and good contrast, with potential macro/slight wide angle capabilities. I've researched and read reviews on all and they were all good so, just wondering what TPF thought? If this post bothers anyone because I've asked several questions, just pass on over it. Thanks. :D

I mentioned in another thread about Tamron. Have you explored their line of 2.8 lenses? Their 28-75 is a dandy.

The reviews on these lenses claimed these all could do what I listed and what i was looking for. Is this true? If I have to purchase a wide angle for large group shots at a later date, I will.

You've gotta be effin kidding me with another thread AMOMENT! And you've narrowed down your 14 to 6!? Just buy one for effs sake and start shooting with it. None of them are going to be any good unless they are mounted to your camera! <sigh>

YOU'VE GOT TO BE EFFIN' KIDDING ME: " If this post bothers anyone because I've asked several questions, just pass on over it. Thanks. :D"

It takes more effort to write a nasty and un helpful response then to just skip over the post don't you think? Well, at least I provided some entertainment and an outlet for you guys to feel superior in. Clearly you see that I am apprehensive about buying a lens...DUH....do you think it requires a mean response? Big EFFIN' deal that I am having a hard time picking a lens and battling over which one. Tragic huh? In fact, I think I should be beraded because of it. I'm thinking save your anger and animosity for those poor children in the Sudan who are being killed every day. Just a thought.......

OP regardless of which glass you purchase there are going to be pros and cons. Personally the I would buy the one that's going to give what me want primarily. Or better yet, if there a dedicated camera store in your area try them out there and good luck.

I suggest you hop by your local camera store ... slap those lenses on your camera ... snap some shots ... and compare ... then make a purchase.

Maybe take your own advice and take your camera outside and get off the forum if this is all you have to say. Hopefully the OP makes two more threads at 2 and after she selects one. Its the beauty of the forums, you can post what you need answers to . I get better photography input off a Jeep forum than I do here because most of the posts are like yours....worthless.

Apparently not  Several of us have taken time to give you PLENTY of advice and resources for making an informed decision. Instead of using that information, you created yet another thread asking the exact same question. Are you expecting completely different responses this time?

Are you the pot or the kettle?

Again, are you the pot or the kettle?

Omg the injustice! I can't take it! The horror of me actually potentially repeating myself. Omg wait u mean I'm the first person to ever do this? Thank god I have u guys to point out all of my flaws. :). Apparently having major doubts and questions about lenses is intolerable. Wonder how u feel about child labor? Bitter jeweler you take such efforts to google images of broken records etc just to have a witty reply to my posts. U clearly dont like me and are never helpful. DUDE just ignore me for heaven sake! Yes I've repeated myself and yes you've given some advice by to be honest ur advice was to figure out what I wanted and narrow it down. I did that! I described what I wanted, picked a brand and common lens type, now I just have to decide between a lot of pretty much the same thing. 400 does not come easy to me and I am apprehensive about buying something that is not good. I didn't repeat myself actually, I took ur advice, figured out what I wanted, what brand, etc but some of you guys are too busy trying to show off ur snotty remarks that u can't see it. Seriousely as u all said big effin' deal!

OP, I think you are looking for the Magic Lens and it doesn’t exist. Many people have given you their opinion, some more than once. Now, you need to take the advice given, consider it all and then make the decision yourself. No lens is perfect, even those that are out of your price range, based on an earlier thread. I doubt that any lens you have listed will be terrible for you, considering you level.
Don’t sweat the decision and get yourself stressed out about it. Flip a coin, buy one of the lenses and then go crazy shootin' pics. When you out grow that lens, then you can think about finding that perfect lens.

Noboy can tell you which lens you need because nobody knows what you like to shoot except you. That is a fact of life. ALL of the lenses you have selected are good. ALL of them would be a good choice. ALL of them are prefectly acceptable. You would be happy with ANY of them. I've already told you what I use and at the time that's what you decided you wanted.

I don't know what you expect any one to tell you that hasn't been said before. Would it make you happy if everyone who reads this picks the same lens? OK, everyone vote for #1.

Just an FYI, even if you get the wrong lens it won't be the end of the world. When I bought my Sigma I decided I wanted a 2.8 lens one morning, looked at B&H's web site at lunch (never even looked anywhere else). Found one in the price range and focal length range that I wanted, and ordered it. Never read a review, never studied it, never fretted over it, never looked back. That was 2 years ago and I've been happy with it since.
