tamron 28-300mm VC

Hello, I am new this forum site. I tried searching for the topic but found nothing of it.

i am thinking of buying a tamron 28-300mm VC for my nikon D50 for light travel photography. anyone have this lens? tried searching here but could only find sigma 28-300mm. more interested of the this one because of the VC.

is it worth it?
what focal length does this lens take the best pictures?
Is the Macro good?
anyone have a pictures taken with it?
