Technical question.

I shot this photo last year, and sent my camera for repair. They changed just about all the interior of the camera, but never explained what was wrong with my camera in the first place... Do any of you guys know? If anyone has any idea, I'd really apprechiate your input.

Hope you can help. The camera works great now, but I'd really like to know what this is. That way I can perhaps be able to help some one in the same situation as I was in...
