Teleconverters, wide-angle converters, compatibiltiy and AF

Interesting, what are some of the product names of the these converters? I'll be honest and say that I've never heard of them-- the only TCs that I've worked with or seen in use are 1.4x and 2x extenders that mount on the rear of the lens.

You can use the front extenders made for video cameras. There's a Schneider 1.6x converter with a 102 mm thread, for example. There are others in the Schneider range. As I mentioned in my previous post (#4), they don't affect the f-number, unlike behind-the-lens teleconverters.

Best,
Helen

Sony, Kenko, Nikon, Canon, Fujimon, Hoya, Tiffen, Vivitar, Soliger, Olympus (TCON), etc. And then a whole bunch of tiny manufacturers like Raynox and etc..
