I feel that a photographer has a duty to tell a story with images. For the last couple of months I have covered a high school football team. Every game both home and away. I got my fill of action shots and at the end of the game I would take portraits of the players with their parents. Over the course of the season I feel in love with these kids. Well Saturday Night it all came to an end as the Del Rio Rams got knocked out of the playoffs in a hard fought game that featured several lead changes and big plays on both sides. It was devastating not only for the kids but also their parents.
The boys have a hell of a coach that has always emphasized that they play for the fans. Always appreciate the fans. Even in defeat the boys the boys headed to the stands to thank the fans for their support. This young man is a senior. He will probably never put on pads again. I love the emotions evident in this shot.
I would like to see some shots by you guys that tell an emotional story.
