texture ..c&c plz

hi this time around i am looking to emphasize texture and these are the pics that turned to be out somewhat good....plz comment ..thank you.

The last one looks the best to me. The first did capture almost all of the texture, but might have been a bit brighter to possibly bring it out more. And just a hair out of focus on the closest stem. #3 and #4 were really very good.

The second one seems to put me off. Can't say if it's the lighting, the grains being cross with each other, the shapes or what.... it is one of those that I would want to take down off someone else's wall without their permission. May be that it is so stark. Whatever the reason, it only puts emphasis that you accomplished your goal with that pic.
