Good to hear Jmack I agree with your statement about the instructions, but better to much info then not enough when it comes to our equipment for this type of endeavor.

Well there is a lot I need to learn, so looking at the autofocus points is probably a good start.

Yep Adorama is my first choice when purchasing camera equipment. They truly are great and the customer service is top notch. BH is also a good choice.
