Thank you very much Eric !
how do u get that soft effect, im a noob
Dwayne, I love your work. I'm trying to improve my pp skills and am wondering... it looks like you dodged the area around the deer and grass, is this correct?
I use Orton-effect, google it when you get a chance there lots of info
Thank you very much for the comments ! I really appreciate it !
You are right ! Those areas where lightened (dodge).
Some lighten (dodge) tips:
1-start with a slightly darker image to work with, use the the midtone
slider in (levels) to darken the photo a tad, this will make your lighten (dodge)
enhancement areas stand out more
2-let nature do most of the work and only lighten (dodge) the areas where
the light is naturally falling in the scene, as you practice seeing these
naturally lit areas you be able to pick them out better as time goes on,
also try avoiding making your own or new light that in not in the scene, it
is ok to open up shadows a tad if they are to dark to show some detail
Hope this helps and thanks for the question.
