A shot of a barley field I passed the other day on the Lincolnshire Wolds near Hameringham.

it's perfect.

How did you get the sky to pop out so well? Mine usually look a little bland.

This one does not do nothing for me even if it has a good sky, nice green land but Maybe its too much sky. Just my 2 cents. I did spend some time on your blog and you have some amazing shots there. I like the bike on the beach and others. Thanks for the share.

That is a beautiful shot. Perfect composition.

I'm guessing with that much cloud coverage that the light was diffused enough to be pretty even throughout - thus avoiding the typical blown-out sky.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I had to shoot from fairly low to hide the hedge that the tree is part of. The sun was behind the clouds for this shot which made exposure easier. I've tweaked the contrast a touch on the sky and used a contrast mask on the barley to emphasise the detail. But the clouds were pretty good yesterday so I didn't do a great deal.

Regards, Tony
