I tried a couple of shots with some slow shutter speeds-and did some PP as well. I know they're both a tad blurry. FYI-these are low res files so keep that in mind when C&Cing.

I really like the first one, it may have a few technical problems, like a large area of black, but I just love the atmosphere. It's difficult to tell how sharp the picture is at this size.

First one is a bit dark, but its really cool. The 2nd one is very cool, though could use just a tad more color. Very good on both though, good subjects too.

Tis a matter of taste but they do nothing for me. Sorry!

However, I find it interesting the helmets are not equipped with chin straps making it easy for them to get knocked off in critical times.

In the first photo I used a large flashlight (a fireman's handheld flashlight to be exact) that I shined along the one side of my subject. In the second photo I shot it at late dusk with two fireman's flashlights covered in white plastic bags to difuse the light a bit. No strobes yet so I had to improvise.
