The Camera Debate

Well, if we are talking SLR cameras, yeah, it makes sence to keep em in the same family... for the simple fact of interchangable accessories. But, in other cases, like say pro-sumer, it's good to have a variety. Think of it this way, at the 5mp level, the Nikon 5700 is generaly acknowledged as the top (some say sony 717, but you catch my drift). That said, at the 8 mp level, you're looking at the Olympus 8080 (some say minolta... blah blah) Different cameras for different purposes. If you were to stick to Purely nikon, you would have a good camera at 5, but not so much at 8... and vice versa with Olympus. You just have to go with what ever is better (for your needs or otherwise). Blind brand loyalty is just not smart.
