Hi, my wife has got a Nikon D3000 and is wanting a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 lens for it. if someone could tell me the difference between the nikkor 50mm 1.4D Af and the nikkor 50mm 1.4 AF-S , apart from the £100, and which one would be better for this camera, that would be most helpful, many thanks!!!

The AF will not autofocus on your camera, while the AF-S will. You can still use the AF lens, you just need to manually focus.
