The Edge vs. The Curve

Any feedback as to which image you prefer in terms of composition, editing, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I think the sky is too dark and water too bright in The Curve.
Hmm, possibly too much sky in The Edge.

Thanks, everyone. Much appreciated. Anyone know how I can post images from 500px so they directly appear on the site rather than having to give links?

I don't know how to embed from 500px - have you tried the arrow 'share' button next to the "Gallery" button? There's an option to embed, which gives you a code to paste, but I'm not sure if it works on forums. I'll test it out here. Maybe you see more options when you are logged in (I don't have an account, so I'm only going by what I can see as an "outsider.")

But first, I'll say that I like "The Edge" better. I like the darker tone, the texture that is still in the water, and that long beautiful curvy line leading to the person standing at the end of the pier/dock. Very compelling shot.

"The Curve" is well done, but for my tastes, it's too smooth and I miss the visual interest of a person creating that little vertical line that breaks the horizontal.

I did try the 'share' button on 500px without success. It sucks that I can't directly put the image here as I did with flickr a few years ago.
