I finally got pics of the 'elusive' squirrel in my backyard. I've had this feeder forever and I always put an ear of corn on there in hopes of luring him out. I never seem to catch him the act...until today.

All pics were shot with my 50D and 70-200mm f2.8 L. I was standing about 3-4 feet away from the critter. BTW, I am no pro at shooting nature/animals. I just couldn't pass up on an opportunity to take a few shots. Thanks for looking.

I'm surprised he sat there for you, he must have been very hungry. Quite the pose with the feet on either side of the feeder.
#2 Looks like he is really enjoying himself
#9 Looks like he is offering you some

Some of these are quite nice captures, but many are on the fuzzy side, as if the focus point got more of the corn than the squirrel.

You didn't ask for C&C so I'm just going to say ----These are adorable!! You are so lucky he posed so sweetly for you. I guess he figured it was the least he could do since you gave him all that corn for dinner. I enjoyed them all, but my favorites are #4 and the last one!

Great camera and Amazing lens i'm just wondering why you're still using the auto modes on the camera. Nice pictures though i would just recommend aperture priority mode if you wanted 2.8

This opportunity was a grab-and-go moment. I simply pulled my camera out and ran as fast as I could to get the shot. I slowly crept up to the squirrel while blasting away. I must admit, my hand was not as steady as it could have been, hence my off-focus on some of the shots. I was just really glad to get that close to a squirrel to take pictures. I don't think I'll probably get another opportunity like that again.

Very Cool, I always enjoy watching Squirrels.

I see on the 4th shot you found the very rare Attack Squirrel.
