I tried turning a bland photo into something different. Thought it looked like the flower was glowing from the inside. This was done in LR. I suck at PP so would like so C&C and suggestions. I know the original is dry in color. Any ideas on why that is? I thought I metered correctly so my assumptions are it's not underexposed. I'm wondering if it's just WB or the crummy day that made everything so dreary.

Any reasons? Just don't like it? The glow? Lack of other color? Exposure? Trying to find ways to make my photography better. Any ideas?
