the house

I often use this house to keep myself lined up in the water. I either hate these pics or like them alot. Not sure. What do you think?

I don't understand what I'm looking at. Is the roof of the house behind a wave? Are you shooting this from the water? Are you swimming? Surfing?

I think it needs more context - the tip fo your board, for instance.

Isn't it looking over a sand hill at the beach? Hmm, but I actually like this. The first shot is the best that's where I noticed that it could be sand (if it even is sand) but then again, the second is also great because of the clouds sort of defining the "mood" in the pic. And it also fits the picture that the house is placed a little lower down.
Though, I think the first pic gives the best idea that you're peeking over the sand.

Thanks for the comments. Your right, the house is peering over a sand dune. The black and white conversion took away some of the contrast between the sky and sand, blurring the two together in a way. But i still feel it fits the image better.

I didnt really get it until I read the other posts. Maybe it just a style I don't fully understand.
