Took this shot with a Nikon CoolPix 800. Not too bad for a dinky point'n shoot.

Hiya, Rus_T, and welcome to ThePhotoForum.
The thing about the wrong section can be changed quickly.
And in honour of the "dinky little point and shoot cameras" let me say that some of them yield very good results, it need not always be the biggest, poshest DSLR for that, but a good eye and the ability to compose a good picture. You seem to have that.
A little creative cropping here and there - testwise, just to see where changes can be made - will help "the eye" to develop and improve and become quite "flexible" ... it is already "seeing" ... it is only 6:30 in the morning and I still have not had any coffee nor any bite to eat for breakfast. If you did not understand a thing of what I said, that might explain it ;).

Nice shoot, kind of mystic. Is it a lake or river shore on the left?

    Thanks for comments everyone.

LaFoto: I know exactly what you mean, and I've had my coffee and breakfast
I actually get very nice shots from the CoolPix camera.

These shots were taken on the coast of Trinidad California. Its north of Eureka.

    Here's a couple more.
