    Hi, this is my first post, a bolt of lightning I think I was very lucky to get!!

    I have only added contrast and colour otherwise the composition is exactly how I took it.

    I have various cropped versions as well but decided to put the whole image up.

    The photo was taken with a Panasonic DMC FZ30 60 sec. exposure.

    Seems like storm pictures are popping up all over the place! Great capture!

    I agree - great capture! And having the house/porch/tree in the shot really adds a nice touch!!

    Wow, lightning photos are so amazing. The house and the tree add intensity to this.

    haha yeah its that time of the year.......The OPs shot is really great. I like the lone house on the hill.

    those are really cool. you did a good job. I love the porch and tree in the picture.

    Thanks heaps. Looking forward to summer again, I dont think the rest of our town is though!!

    Boy, I would not have wanted to be in that house the moment the lightning struck. It must have been awfully loud!
    We get too few thunderstorms for me to ever get ANY lightning photos. And if this was your first attempt, then you sure nailed it right away!

    LaFoto it was very scary! The sound was deafining and it was my first attempt at photographing lightning. I could not believe my luck when I downloaded the image! Thanks for the knid words.
