The Mittens Bathed in Morning Light

    Made this photo on Thanksgiving morning. It was nice being out among these giants all by my lonesome. It's one of my favorite things of photography. Sitting and taking in the scene we are trying to capture. "Don't forget to put your camera down and really experience where you are." It's something I was told by another photographer long ago and it's a rule I follow always.

    Very nice. I would be tempted to lighten up the "rocks/foreground" just a bit as it would be nice to see some detail in the Mittens.

    Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think the lack of detail is compression done by either my host site or the forum. I see plenty of detail before uploading, even in the JPEG. I lifted the shadows a bit in the version below. This is not cropped, framed as I did in camera.
