the moon

not really asking for c&c on these, just thought I'd share them with you. I've not got very powerful lens either so image was cropped and sharpened to bring out a little detail. Taken with the nikon 55-200 vr.
FYI, the moon is supposed to be at its biggest and brightest tonight.

Your image is underexposed by at least a couple of stops, which makes image noise worse. It's not easy getting nice Moon images.

ok, thanks. I'd never even considered photographing the moon til last night. I brightened them both up a bit, too

photosoto - It also looks like you over-sharpened it a bit too much, as indicated by the white "outline" around most of the moon.

KmH - I think I'm going to have to get you as my agent, that's two threads today where you've plugged me!

er111a - Yours looks a little out of focus, though that could be to a really crummy atmosphere where/when you took it.
