i almost ran this guy over in my car, but i came back and carried him to my porch for a few photos.

he was a good subject, though the lighting was... night. at one point he crawled up to my shoe. i got maybe two shots of his wings spread out, and then it disappeared!

i looked all around for maybe 5 minutes, then went back inside to download the photos.
and then i found it again, hiding in my pant leg

so i got to work a little on my nonexistent lighting technique, yay.
the photos came out kind of lame, but it was fun.

it was like 3 inches from head to back of wings. i dont know how i didnt find it in my leg sooner. i thought it would hang around for a bit, but it left as soon as i put it outside.
