My goodness! Not even space for a mouse there. Is this an island or just an outcrop of the land? Where was it taken?
Beautiful. The lighting is breathtaking (much like that scene-- wow!) and the contrast of those two colors is fantassssstic.
Thanks Joan and Emma!
Taken on the central California coast along the bottom of a jetty extending into the sea. This is the first bit of direct sunlight of the day. A small portion of the population.
I was expecting a wooden raft from the title
wow, that looks very busy. What birds are they?
I think they may be brown pelicans. I've heard a group of them are refered to as a 'raft.' Sounds way-more cool to me than a 'group', 'bunch', or 'flock.'
very pretty shot indeed!
Thank you Raymond.
Which part of the California coast? I know an area that has a high brown pelican nesting population.
great shot, i also love the light...
