Personally if there is even a hint of coluor; I will leave it colour. In this case I like the background bluey and of course the golden ring.

A wise man once said to me; "the world is in colour, so of course your photo is going to be more dramatic in B&W". I will keep my interpretation of that little ditty to myself.

This is a gorgeous shot, I love hands - especially aged ones. Personally, I much prefer the b&w version, since this adds to the classic feel of the whole shot. Beautiful work.
