The season for fireworks

So as many of you hopefully know, fireworks are all around. Tomorrow I plan on going to my states fireworks display and wanted some tips.

What are some good shutters, isos, and f-stops. I know that photography is about learning how to read the light, but in this limited amount of time, I'd rather not waste it. I'd rather go in and know what to do ahead of time. Also any creative ideas or tips?

there is another topic recently posted with LOTS of good information. here is the jist of what i got.

keep your aperture between 8 and 11, shutter speed set to bulb (manual exposure) and use a tripod to keep it stable. open the shutter right before the fireworks go off, and let go when it's done, but before it "melts" away and becomes blobby (if that makes sense)
