I must have been quite a sight, jumping about the front garden with my lens in macro mode (it looks quite long then...), trying to capture those bees and bumble bees. Who would have thought that bees are SLOW compared to their seemingly so much clumsier "colleagues" ... those big, busy, buzzing bumble bees (ha! alliteration! or even a tongue twister ) hop from flower to flower in no time, so hard to focus fast enough ... and that at the time when I still hadn't found out how to change the aperture in fully manual (so I would have been able to deepen my DOF and still deliberately underexpose by one stop or 2/3 at least).
You may therefore believe that I have MANY MORE bee and bumble bee photos here .
